Dr. Mostafa Aziz Sumon is the Head of the Oncology Department at Kurmitola General Hospital, Dhaka. Additionally, he is working as a Consultant, Radiation Oncology in United Hospital, Labaid Cancer Hospital & Super Speciality Center, and Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital.
Dr. Sumon completed his MBBS degree from Mymensingh Medical College in 2001. He completed his Post Graduation MCPS in Radiotherapy MD in Radiation Oncology in 2012. Dr. Mostafa Aziz Sumon received training in Bologna University, Italy, and National University Hospital Singapore.
Dr. Sumon was awarded the ESMO- Leader of Asia (LGP Progroam-2019). In 11th SAARC Federation of Oncology Cancer Congress 2016, he was awarded the “ABMF GOLD MEDAL” for best paper. He is an IAEA fellow and the Country Coordinator of a multinational, multicenter trial on “Evidence-based on lab medicine in Oncological practice” under Yamaguchi University, Japan.
