The British royal family, along with the whole of Britain, is in shock after the recent cancer diagnosis of Catherine, Princess of Wales. In a video statement published on 22 March 2024, Catherine revealed that she has been undergoing preventive chemotherapy since late February. However, there was no clear message regarding her cancer type, as the royal family did not disclose the Princess’s medical information.

This January, the Princess underwent a major abdominal surgery which was successful. However, during some follow-up tests, cancer was detected. From the video statement, we know that she is taking preventive cancer therapy, and the treatment is in the primary stage.

The royal family did not reveal where Princess of Wales is receiving her treatment. Nevertheless, Catherine mentioned in the video statement that she is grateful to her fantastic medical team.

She said, “We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space, and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.”

Catherine got married to Prince William in 2011. She is a beloved public figure and a prominent member of the British royal family. She is involved in many charitable activities and has a strong opinion.
